Air Serbia launches direct Belgrade – Cluj-Napoca flights from May 31, 2027

Good news for travelers from Transylvania: Air Serbia, Serbia's national airline, has announced a new direct route between Belgrade and Cluj-Napoca. Flights will begin on May 31, 2027, and will operate four times a week.

Cluj-Napoca, Air Serbia's second destination in Romania

With this new route, Cluj-Napoca becomes the airline's second destination in Romania, after Bucharest. For Air Serbia, it is a clear sign of interest in the Romanian market, and for people in Cluj and the wider region, it is one more alternative when planning a trip.

What this route means for passengers

A direct Cluj-Napoca – Belgrade flight means less time lost and fewer complications compared to options with a layover. Here are the main advantages:

• Direct flight, four times a week – more flexibility when choosing your travel dates.
• Access to the Belgrade hub – from there you can reach connections to other destinations in Europe and beyond.
• A new option for tourism and city breaks – Belgrade is a vibrant city with a rich cultural life, acclaimed gastronomy and a distinctive atmosphere, just one flight away from Cluj.
• More competition on the market – a new route usually means more options to compare when searching for tickets.
