Important baggage details

Customers often ask whether it is possible to combine the weight of suitcases. According to the airline’s rules, weight cannot be combined between passengers.

If you are flying with the Plus fare, your suitcase must weigh strictly up to 23 kg. Excess weight is subject to an additional fee at the airport according to current rates (usually from 10 euros per 1 kg).

Check-in for AeroItalia flights

Online check-in opens 24 hours and closes 3 hours before departure.

• Free of charge when checking in on the website or in the mobile app.
• Paid when checking in at the airport counter (around 30 euros if the service is not included in the fare).

If you are traveling with animals or require special services, online check-in may be unavailable. In this case, it is recommended to arrive at the airport check-in counter in advance.

Where the airline flies

AeroItalia’s route network focuses on connecting regions of Italy with major European hubs.

Main destinations:

• Italy: Rome (Fiumicino), Milan (Bergamo), Olbia, Palermo, Catania.
• Europe: direct flights to Bucharest (Băneasa), London and other capitals.

Practice shows that the airline often uses secondary airports (for example, Băneasa in Bucharest instead of Otopeni), which allows for faster check-in and security procedures.

Meals and onboard service

In economy class (Basic, Classic, Plus), drinks and snacks are offered for an additional fee. Business class passengers (Biz) receive an extended menu and priority boarding.

If the flight lasts less than 2 hours, it is recommended to bring a snack with you, as the onboard selection may be limited.
